What does it take to become physically fit? I believe the first thing that a person must do is to may a decision. When you make a decision to do something it starts in your mind.
Our mind is very powerful. If you look in the mirror and say to yourself....self I am going to get into shape today! When you speak to your self with convictions things begin to change and your mind begin to believe that it is possible.
Secondly, you must be willing to put forth the effort that it takes to to meet your personal goals to become physically fit.
Thirdly, one must learn to deal with shortcomings and distractions that will try to rob you of becoming the person you want to be.

I agree 100%. I am starting my physical fitness journey and have found that the power of the mind is what keeps me motivated. Even eating healthy foods starts in the mind.
