Getting Mentally Prepared

How do I get mentally prepared for the day? I have been told by a friend how he starts his day. The first thing he would do in the morning, he would find something inspirational, motivational, or spiritually to read before doing anything of physical activity.

He said, that the mental aspect is the motivational source that gets him started before the physical activitives. So you may ask what should I read? I am so glad you asked such a wonderful question. Read about individuals who were able to be the odds of physical and mental challenges.

This should give you that burst of energy needed to get you inspired for a quick workout for at least 10-20 minutes. Consider, push-ups, sit-ups, calf or toe raises(place both feet together and raise up your heel while standing in one location). These exercise will give you the opportunity to work on toning up: biceps, triceps, six pack(stomach muscles), and calf muscles.

All of the above exercises should be done at a moderate pace until you able to do more. You are now ready to face the world with mental and physical power. So, take on the day with (P.M.A.) Positive Mental Attitude.

Dynamic Exercises

What do you do when you are tired and feel yucky? I have a great idea start exercising! This will give the energy that you need and you will feel like cleaning the house or doing all kind of chores.

You maybe asking yourself what type of exercise should I do? I am so glad you asked. Try something simple as walking for at least 30 minutes a day. This will get the heart pumping and the blood begins to flow throughout your body. And when the blood is flowing correctly this allows your mind to think clearly.

Another, good exercise is simply walking up a flight of steps for 10-20 minutes this will give you several benefits. (1) Helps build calf muscles (2) Endurance increase (3) Heart rate increase (4)Mental toughness.

Try these simple exercise and see how your mindset changes as well as your body.

The Power of the Mind

What does it take to become physically fit? I believe the first thing that a person must do is to may a decision. When you make a decision to do something it starts in your mind.

Our mind is very powerful. If you look in the mirror and say to yourself....self I am going to get into shape today! When you speak to your self with convictions things begin to change and your mind begin to believe that it is possible.

Secondly, you must be willing to put forth the effort that it takes to to meet your personal goals to become physically fit.

Thirdly, one must learn to deal with shortcomings and distractions that will try to rob you of becoming the person you want to be.

What are your thoughts?
